Make time for your town
Friday, October 12, 2012
After a one-year hiatus, Bedford Olde Town Day is back.
The festivities will be held 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Riley Field Complex, off Nashua Road.
Bedford Olde Town Day began in 1994, when Mary Lou and Bruce Wilson decided to get local groups and businesses together to create the atmosphere of an old-time fair.
Now, Bedford has a very special event that features games for children, great food, local entertainment and, of course, the Bullfrog Bounce.
Residents, make time to go, and take your families.
It’s an amazing opportunity to connect with your town and your neighbors and to show your children what living in a small town is really all about – community.
And as part of that community feeling, think about donating some of your time to help volunteers set up, sell tickets or clean up.
The Recreation Department is seeking volunteers to work two-hour shifts.
If you are interested or would like additional information, you can contact Jane O’Brien at 472-5242 or jobrien@bedfordnh.org.
After all, isn’t helping out what community is all about?
