Well done, Ms. O’Brien

We congratulate Jane O’Brien, the town’s park and recreation manager, for earning the Volunteer of the Year award for supporting tennis programs.

Jane also deserves credit for her hard work making sure Bedford residents have access to interesting, educational and fun programs for adults and kids.

In her many years of service, she has organized the annual Olde Towne Day and other major events, helped bring several recreational sports programs to town and also had time for Scouts.

Jane is also on hand at many of these programs and events, making sure all goes well, and to see all the smiling faces of those taking part in the activities. She is always eager to help, and greets everyone with a smile.

To us, Jane is the epitome of a great town employee and deserves a standing ovation for her service.
