Vote for Len Gerzon and Lee Nyquist
Friday, October 26, 2012
To the editor:
I would like to urge everyone to vote for Len Gerzon and Lee Nyquist in the upcoming election.
I think that Len Gerzon is the outstanding choice for the new Bedford-Amherst state representative position. Len and I first served together on the Bedford Zoning Board of Adjustment many years ago. I also worked with his wife, Nancy, on Bedford’s Heritage Trail Committee where Len helped out. Then Len and I were trustees together in the early days of the Bedford Land Trust. Len, along with Nancy’s mother, dedicated many hours to the Land Trust, and I have long been impressed by Len’s hard work, dedication, thoroughness, and thoughtful consideration of the opinions of others.
Just as I know that Len volunteered his time and energy here in Bedford when he was a resident, I also know that he has continued to be a dedicated volunteer in Amherst and in many other capacities covering a broad range of organizations, such as the Amherst Land Trust and Amherst Conservation Commission, the Nashua Mediation Program, the Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the Heritage United Way. Len is in a unique position of knowing both Bedford and Amherst first hand over many years, and he would be an outstanding representative of the residents of both towns in Concord.
Likewise, I would like to urge everyone to vote for Lee Nyquist as state senator for our district. Lee has served the town of New Boston and organizations active in the state in many ways over the years. He has been New Boston’s town moderator for 20 years and a member of the Manchester Rotary Club for almost as long. He has been active in the Daniel Webster Council of the Boy Scouts of America and the NH Lakes Association--to name a few of his other volunteer activities. I am confident that he will truly listen to his constituents, will represent us well, and is a superb choice for the state senate.
Both Len and Lee have excellent and impressive qualifications and will bring thoughtful consideration and representation to the halls of Concord. Please join me by casting your votes on November 6 for Len Gerzon and for Lee Nyquist.
