New Hampshire volunteers sought to drive cancer patients to treatment
Friday, March 28, 2014
The American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery program is in need of volunteers from New Hampshire communities to drive local cancer patients to and from their chemotherapy and/or radiation treatments.
An integral part of treating cancer successfully is making sure patients receive their treatments, but many find making transportation arrangements is a challenge.
Volunteers use their own vehicle and set their own schedule. Appointments take place primarily during business hours.
If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a volunteer driver for Road to Recovery, call 800-227-2345 or visit cancer.org.
