What does freedom mean to you? Residents of Bedford, Merrimack, Hollis respond

Independence Day brings with it an opportunity to reflect on the meaning of freedom, a treasured asset so plentiful in the United States and so rare in some other countries. This year, as residents in far-away lands struggle to survive in the face of terror and turmoil, local families celebrate liberty.

The Fourth of July is Independence Day, a day marked with parades, fireworks, feasts of plenty and quality time with family and friends, along with remembrances of the veterans of all wars who fought in combat or provided support behind the lines.

Here, some thoughts on freedom are shared by neighbors who cherish their liberty.
