Celebrate “Ice Cream for Breakfast Day” and support the Animal Rescue League of NH.
Roni Vetter, owner of Jake’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream and Sweet Shoppe in Amherst, chose Bedford’s Animal Rescue League to be the beneficiary of her annual “Ice Cream for Breakfast Day” fundraiser.
The event will be from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, with 100 percent of any ice cream purchase – $2 for one scoop and $3 for two scoops – to be donated to the Animal Rescue League.
In lieu of money, a large bag of non- clumping cat litter or kitten food may also be exchanged for two scoops of ice cream.
Participants who wear their pajamas to the event will also receive a complimentary cookie from Vetter.
Jake’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream and Sweet Shoppe, 135 Route 101A, has 30 standard flavors available at any time.
An Animal Rescue League of NH representative will be on hand to answer questions about the shelter, animals for adoption or the many volunteer needs it has available.
For more information, call Vetter at 594-2424 or e-mail Robin McCune at robin@rescueleague.org.
