Bedford Journal letters must be 400 words or less
Friday, October 5, 2012
Beginning with the Oct. 12 edition of the Bedford Journal, we will begin limiting letters to the editor to 400 words. While this has long been our established policy, we have recently made exceptions and run letters that exceeded our word limit.
However, in an attempt to ensure that everyone has a chance to express his or her opinion, we will return to our policy of 400 words. Letters that do not meet our word limit will be returned to their authors to be trimmed to meet the word limit.
We are proud to offer a space to our readers to express their opinions and pleased that so many members of the community avail themselves of that space.
– DONNA ROBERSON
