Bedford Men’s Club to begin Christmas tree sale
Friday, November 16, 2012
The Bedford Men’s Club will host its annual Christmas Tree sale at the Bedford Village Shops on Route 101 beginning the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
This holiday tradition has been the club’s main fundraiser for many years. The New Hampshire-grown trees are for sale in the afternoons, evenings and weekends in December until they are gone. Christmas wreaths are available for sale as well.
Members of the club man the tree sale each day to help raise money for worthy causes. The money is distributed to programs in Bedford that support youth sports, education, scholarships and programs that make Bedford a better place to live. Programs that have recently benefited from the club’s fundraising are the Bedford Bobcats, the Educational Farm at Joppa Hill, the Bedford Crew Club, the purchase of a defibrillator for the Bedford Police Department, Special Olympics and the Bedford Barracudas swim team.
Other programs are supported such as the U.S. FIRST program, scholarships for graduating high school students from Bedford, Stand By Me at McKelvie and many other programs in town.
Pre-sale orders for tall (8 or 9 feet) Christmas trees can be placed before Nov. 14 for $80. Only 20 tall trees are ordered by the club. Trees will be available the Saturday afternoon after Thanksgiving. To preorder a tree, email firstname.lastname@example.org
Any man older than 21 who lives or works in Bedford is invited to attend a meeting. For more infomation, visit bedfordmensclub.com.
