Friday, January 4, 2013
By ROSANNE POULIN
Sullivan Construction, Inc., a Bedford-based construction manager, completed renovations for Magellan Diagnostics in Chelmsford, Mass. The fast-track project included a complete fit-up of a 16,500-square-foot office area and the construction of a 5,500-square-foot bio-lab space. Sullivan completed the project well within the eight-week schedule.
Magellan Diagnostics is a medical device company that provides point-of-care systems, clinical laboratory instruments, and analytical laboratory services focused on lead testing. Headquartered in Billerica, Mass., Magellan’s products help identify individuals at risk of harm due to lead exposure.
Sullivan Construction was also selected as the manager for the new single-story construction of an 805-licensed Alzheimer’s Care Center at 295 Lafayette Road in Rye. The 37,000 square foot assisted-living facility, to be called Sanctuary at Rye, will have 56 resident rooms, commercial kitchen facilities, non-skilled nurse stations and administrative spaces, wired for the Internet. This is the first memory care facility on the N.H. seacoast.
