‘Fiddler’ plays Lurgio
Friday, January 25, 2013
“Fiddler on the Roof Jr.” is a compact version featuring all the hit songs in the full-length production. Ross A. Lurgio Principal Ed Joyce credits the enthusiasm of all the participating students, and the many parent volunteers, staffers, and Co-technical Directors, Elissa Mattson and Al Fredette, for their hard work putting on this two-day event. Zane Mercer, 17, a senior at Bedford High School, is leading the team of volunteer craftsmen building the set. Mercer made the production his senior project. Performances take place at Bedford High School Theatre, at 47A Nashua Road. An initial performance is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1. Two additional shows, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., are scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 2. Tickets are $7, and are available online through the “purchase tickets” section on the school’s website, www.sau25.net/RossLurgio.cfm.
