Palace youth auditions to be Sept. 9

MANCHESTER – The Palace Theatre will have auditions for its upcoming fall semester of Teen Company on Monday, Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. Teen Company is for performers ages 12-18 who want a more intensive theater experience.
For auditions, bring a headshot and resume, prepare 16 bars of a song, preferably musical theater (provide your own sheet music) and bring clothes to move in, as a dance combination will be taught.
Teen Company runs from September until mid-November. Rehearsals are Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday or Sunday from either 10-11:30 a.m. or 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
The semester will end with a full-scale musical. Apprentice Company will perform Nov. 5 and 6 and Teen Company will perform Nov. 12 and 13.

The Palace Theatre will also hold auditions for its youth production of “Willy Wonka Jr.” Auditions are for ages 8-18 and are scheduled for Sept. 3 at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., or 8 p.m., or on Wednesday, Sept. 4, same times.
Expect to stay for the entire one-hour time slot. Participants will learn a dance and be asked to sing after. Please prepare a short section of a song to perform a cappella (no CD or piano).
