Bedford’s annual Christmas celebration a tradition for area families

Friday, December 20, 2013

It was a glorious night more than 2,000 years ago, half way around the world in a stable full of animals when a wonderful event occurred.

Celebrate the Christmas season with Bedford Presbyterian Church’s 32nd annual Living Nativity on Monday, Dec. 23. It begins at 5:30 p.m., in the Sanctuary at 4 Church Road, with a carol and handbell ringing, with organ, piano and a chamber orchestra. The night continues with the dramatic retelling of the Christmas story, beginning on the church steps and journeying to the holy family surrounded by angels, shepherds, sheep, Wise Men and the humble donkey.

All are invited to Fellowship Hall for hot chocolate and refreshments. Bedford Center is located at Route 101 and Meetinghouse Road. Public parking is available until 5:45 p.m. in the church lot. More parking is available at the library and town office. Church Road will be closed to traffic from 5:45-6:30 p.m. For more information, call 472-5841 or visit bedford
