Dixie

Hi, I’m Dixie. I’ve had a rough life so far and am just looking for a patient family to love me.

I arrived at the ARLNH as a stray in pretty rough shape. I had patchy fur, scars and sores on my body.

I’m on medication and my skin is healing, but the vets say I should be eating high-quality, grain-free food for the rest of my life, as I most likely have bad allergies.

They know I’ve had puppies, probably a lot of them. I am afraid of new people and situations – can you blame me? I will probably bark, growl and run away when I first meet you.

Please, don’t take it personally. Once I can learn to trust you I will be very sweet: you can rub my back or belly. I need to be the only dog in your home.

The staff at the ARLNH believe I have lived my whole life never being loved. Can you show me what love is?

Curly Q

Hi my name is Curly Q. I am a 2-year-old spayed female who was found wandering in the cold.

I was taken to a foster home where there was an orphaned kitten that needed a mom – so I became her mom for a while.

Everyone says I was a good mom and very sweet. I am friendly to adults but the little people I see, (I think they call them kids) I can definitely do without them.

They make me nervous. And being picked up and carried is not my thing, either. I like four on the floor, thank you.

If you have a child-free house and would like a sweet girl who likes to sit next to you, please come visit me.

All animals at the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire are spayed or neutered before adoption.
