Girl Scout volunteers needed

Friday, January 31, 2014

Girls can’t wait to enjoy the excitement and unique experiences in Girl Scouting – but some have to.

There is a need for more leaders, co-leaders and other volunteers to help them discover, connect and take action.

At Girl Scouts, leaders want every girl to feel so excited about her future that she can hardly wait for it, because she knows she can achieve anything she sets her mind to. That feeling starts with you. Volunteers introduce girls to new experiences that make every day the best day ever.

Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains offers more than 100 programs for girls; adult membership is $15 a year. Volunteers receive training and learn marketable skills, make new friends and make a real difference in girls’ lives. See www.girlscoutsgwm.org and click on Volunteer to see the many opportunities available.

Caring adults willing to be a girl’s cheerleader, mentor and guide can contact Emily Poirier at 888-474-9686, ext. 165.

Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains serves more than 12,300 girls in New Hampshire and Vermont, thanks to the 5,000 trained and dedicated volunteers. They build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. Register online at www.girlscoutsgwm.org or call 888-474-9686, ext. 165.
