MANCHESTER – Organic objects, man-made things and items with varied textures are pulled together to “get along” in the same painting.
Dee Lessard brings harmony to the process through color, subject and space while her soft and chiaroscuro style helps to bring the viewer’s attention to the painting’s center of interest. Whether it’s a still life or portrait, capturing the beauty in each is her goal.
Sharon Price’s paintings are inspired by the New England landscape. She is particularly fascinated by the lush marsh grasses and fields found along the coast of Maine and Massachusetts. She strives to convey a feeling of peacefulness in her work. Price loves to paint on location, and finds it therapeutic to hear the sounds of the ocean waves, the birds calling, and to feel the winds blowing gently as she paints.
Together, Price and Lessard bring this wonderful show, “Life – Inside and Out”, where there is bound to be something for everyone. Come and see the beauty that is all around us.
An opening reception will be held from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, May 10, with refreshments. The exhibit runs from Tuesday, April 28 through May 24. All gallery events are free and open to the public, come as you are, there is plenty of free parking.
