Bedford Family Therapy, LLC announces their 10 Year Anniversary of providing mental health services to individuals, couples and families in Southern New Hampshire. Since its inception, Bedford Family Therapy, or BFT, has remained dedicated to treating the family as a system. “We believe that individuals are interconnected with their families and the larger community” says Diane Vaccarello, one of the practice’s co-founders, and current co-owner. Allison Doyle adds, “We are dedicated to improving outcomes for individuals, couples and families who are dealing with emotional, behavioral and mental health issues”. Doyle and Vaccarello started BFT a decade ago. The two have worked together for over 15 years, and have maintained a strong partnership, building it from a two therapist practice to an eight-provider practice which includes support staff and offers a wide range of specialty areas. Doyle and
Commitment to quality services, strong theoretical underpinnings and a collaborative approach, which values clients as experts on their own families, allows Bedford Family Therapy to continue to be recognized as a leader in the mental health field in New Hampshire. In 2012, Bedford Family Therapy was recognized as the Parenting New Hampshire Family Favorite in the category of “Favorite Family Mental Health & Counseling Services.” Doyle and Vaccarello attribute their success to their like-minded views, solid work ethic, their own families’ support and their diversely talented and committed staff. The well-roundedness of the therapists at Bedford Family Therapy sets them apart from many practices in the area. At Bedford Family Therapy, our therapists have specific training in couples and family work, whereas many other therapists in the area are only trained to work with individuals. Therapists at Bedford Family Therapy also offer a variety of specialty areas ranging from EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy to substance abuse evaluations. Presenting concerns include anxiety, trauma and phobias, parenting, infidelity, personal development, difficulty with communication, substance related problems, among many other concerns.
In recognition of their 10 years of success providing services to over a thousand families in our region, the Bedford Family Therapy staff intends to acknowledge their achievement at a special staff meeting on Aug. 5. This celebration kicks off the expansion of their next professional goal, which is to widen services into the area of groups and workshops. Doyle and Vaccarello are excited to further the growth and success of the New Hampshire individuals and families with whom they work.
