Friday, August 1, 2014

The Equestrian Order Of The Holy Sepulchre Of Jerusalem, Northeastern Lieutenancy recently held its 5th annual Mass at St. Joseph Cathedral Chapel in Manchester.

The principle celebrant and homilist was the Most Rev. Peter A. Libasci, D.D., Bishop of Manchester. Concelebrants included Most Rev. John B. McCormack, D.D., Bishop Emeritus of Manchester, Rev. Msgr. Anthony R. Frontiero, rector of The Cathedral, and Rev. Msgr. Charles E. Desruisseaux. Music was provided by organist Eric J. Bermani and cantor Karol Carroll.

Thirty-eight knights and ladies from throughout the Diocese of Manchester attended the Mass, which was followed by a luncheon at the Puritan Conference Center.

The purpose of the EOHSJ is to support a Christian presence in the Holy Land by supporting Catholic institutions and helping to preserve the holy places and shrines.

Sir Louis M. Martel and Lady Doris I. Proulx serve as diocesan representatives for the order.
