Bedford Democrats to caucus March 6
Friday, March 1, 2013
The Bedford Democratic Party will be holding its caucus at 10 a.m. on March 6, as part of its normal monthly meeting at the Bedford Public Library Richmond Room. The caucus is to elect town Democratic officers and delegates to the New Hampshire Democratic Party State Convention.
Bedford Democratic Committee officers and delegates have a vote at the annual state Democratic Party convention.
“Our caucus provides a great opportunity for anyone who wants to be involved in the grassroots-style politics that makes New Hampshire special,” said Jerry Hanauer, the current Democratic chairman.
There is no cost to attend the caucus, and it is open to all members of the public. Any registered Democrat, regardless of past political experience, can run for an office or a delegate position. A simple majority of the qualified voters present is required for all actions by the caucus.
