Sept. 18: Bedford
The Bulldogs shot a 199 to defeat Alvirne (226), Salem (237) and Spaulding (240). Justin Clutter led the way with a 37 while Connor Lee shot a 38. Griffin Gagne and Ryan Brown each a 41 while Mike Soucy rounded out Bedford’s top five with a 42.
Sept. 19: Bulldogs third
Bedford recorded a 205 to come in third behind Winnacunnet (199) and Bishop Guertin (200). Pinkerton (207) was fourth. Justin Clutter had a 38 for the Bulldogs while Ryan Brown and Justin Hayes each had a 41. Nick Correia recorded a 42 and Griffin Gagne had a 43.
Oct 1: Bedford finishes regular season
Justin Clutter shot a 35 to lead Bedford (200) to a second-place finish in the final regular-season meet of the year. Bishop Guertin came in first with a 197, while Exeter (215) was third and Nashua South (217) was fourth. Ryan Brown added a 36 while Nick Correia had a 42 and Mike Soucy had a 43. Connor Lee rounded out the top five with a 44.
Sept. 18: Pinkerton 6, Bedford 0
The Bulldogs were shutout by the Astros in a Division I game. Despite being down by six with 19 minutes left, Bedford played hard the rest of the way.
Sept. 23: Bedford 0,
Manchester Memorial 0
The Bulldogs recorded 18 shots on goal, but couldn’t get any past the Crusaders defense. Paige Noble made five saves in goal for Bedford.
Sept. 30: Bedford 1,
Bedford recorded its third straight shutout to improve to 5-3-1 in Division I. Kathlyn Rooney scored the game’s only goal on a penalty corner in the first half and Bedford put 16 shots on goal. On the other end, Paige Noble stopped four shots.
Sept. 28: Bulldogs run in Manchester Invitational
The Bedford boys and girls teams competed in the large division race at the Manchester Invitational. The girls finished ninth overall, while the boys came in second. Tristam Winship was the first Bedford runner to finish in the boys race, coming in fourth in 16:26. Scott Daly came in 15th for the Bulldogs, finishing in 16:55, while Michael Dee was 29th in 17:20. Ty Benson (17:49) finished 50th.
Gwneyth Winship led the Bedford girls, finishing ninth in 19:58. Caroline Conrad was the next Bulldog to finish, coming 44th (21:16), while Caroline Mahoney (22:17) and Brittany McDonough (22:18) finished 87th and 88th, respectively.
Oct. 1: Bulldogs
Bedford hosted its first cross country meet at St. Anselm’s College with Londonderry, Keene and Concord, and both the boys and girls teams finished second. Tristam Winship won the boys race in 15:55, while Scott Daly (16:33), Mike Dee (17:02), Matt Gould (17:17) and Sam Zeltner (17:41) all ran well.
For the girls, Gwenyth Winship came in first over all in 18:42, while Caroline Conrad, Katie Ho Sang, Caroline Mahoney and Brittany McDonough ran well.
