Bedford rallys for a win

DEC. 30: BEDFORD 56, ALVIRNE 54
Bedford rallied back from a 20-point deficit to pull out a 56-54 decision over Alvirne in the fifth-place holiday tournament game.
Joey Maher led the winners with 16 points, including two of his team’s five 3-pointers.
Joey O’Hearn had 15 to lead the Broncos, who got 10 points from Ryan Sweeney. Alvirne played the final two games of the tournament without high-scoring junior guard Caleb Donnelly, who was sidelined with a knee bruise.
The Broncos, 1-0 in Class L, resume the regular- season on Tuesday night at Manchester West.
