Sept. 22: Bedford runs at Manchester Invitational

The Bulldogs girls and boys cross country teams competed in the Elite Team race at the Manchester Invitational, with the girls coming in fifth overall and the boys taking seventh.

Gwenyth Winship led the girls, finishing ninth overall in 19:46, and teammate Morghan Linehan was 18th in 20:22.

Kris Larosa finished 24th (20:48) and Caroline Conrad came in 26th (20:55). Emerson Desmarais rounded out Bedford’s top five, finishing 38th (22:01) while Brittany McDonough was 43rd (22:32) and Courtney Jones was 48th (23:55).

Sam Daly finished first for the boys, coming in 13th overall in 16:33. Tristam Winship took 19th, with a time of 16:50, while Scott Daly was 34th (17:16).

Michael Dee finished 39th (17:32) and Taylor Summerville was 45th (17:43). Scott Johnson came in in 56th (18:27) and Matt Gould was 62nd (19:57).


Sept. 24: Bedford beats two

The Bulldogs improved 22-2 on the season, recording a 187 to defeat Merrimack (214) and Dover (243) at Souhegan Woods.

A.J. Spagnuolo led Bedford by shooting a 36 while Ryan Tombs and Justin Clutter each shot a 37. Dylan Cowette had a 38 and Ryan Brown added a 39.

Bedford finished up the regular season on Sept. 26, and will head into the Division I tournament on Oct. 4 at 9 a.m. at the Cochecho Country Club.


Sept. 24: Bedford 2,
Concord 1

The Bulldogs got goals from Tori Cull and Lauren Costes as they improved to 4-5 in Division I.


Sept. 21: Bedford 2, Nashua South 0

Jess Joseph had a goal and an assist to lead Bedford a win over Nashua South.

Joseph got the Bulldogs on the board in the 29th minute, scoring off an assist from Asha Steele, and later assisted on a goal by Johanna Celli in the 67th minute. Brooke Barrett made five saves for Bedford.


Sept. 21: Bedford 25, Keene 24

James Caparell had almost 400 yards of offense and four touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs (2-1 in Division II) to the road win over the Blackbirds. Caparell threw for 331 yards and three touchdowns, and rushed for 63 yards and another score.

Jack Terzian had an interception in the fourth quarter that clinched the victory. Nick Vailas caught a 33-yard touchdown pass that put Bedford up for good.
