The Bedford High School girls track team finished first in a meet at UNH, scoring 96 points. Johanna Celli won the 600-meter run (1:45.5) and was second in the 55. Jenny Mara also won the high jump (5-4) while Brenna Williams won the long jump (15-6 1/4). Kristen Larosa was first in the 1,000 (3:13.2) while Morgan Linehan, Bailey Marshall and Miranda Adams finished second, third and fifth, respectively. Courtney Jones, Emerson Desmarais and Erica Stieper finished second, third and fourth, respectively, in the 1,500. Stieper was also fifth in the high jump.
Rachel Philbrick took second in the 55 hurdles and Riley Blue took third in the same event. Abby Ramsay came in third in the high jump and fourth in the 300. Maggie Carlson came in fourth in the long jump and Anika Hibbard was sixth in the same event, while Kathlyn Rooney finished fifth in the 600 and Amanda Ouellette was fifth in the shot put. Bedford also won the 4x160 relay (1:28.4).
The Bedford boys also finished with 85 points. The Bulldogs had four runners score in the 55, with Nate Jaeger (second), Charlie Woo (third), Nick Vailas (fourth) and Brandon Lavenstein (sixth) all placing.
Bedford’s Keelan McCoole won the high jump (6-0) while Timothy Miller and Tyler Krause finished second and third, respectively. Joseph Thibeault took first in the shot put (47-1/2) while Sean Brodeur was fifth and Matt Johnston was sixth. Mackenzie Turgeon, Taylor Wallace and Nick Villani finished second, third and fifth, respectively, in the 300. Turgeon was also second in the long jump and Keeren Chung came in sixth in the same event.
Nabiel Hussain took second and David Phelps finished fifth in the 55 hurdles. Rob Flynn was second in the 600 while Ryan Wittneberg (third), Taylor Summerville (fifth) and Nicholas Cote (sixth) placed in the 1,000. Bedford also won the 4x160 relay (1:18).
