TRACK

Jan. 20: Bulldogs
run at UNH

The Bedford track teams ran at a qualifying meet.

For the girls, Kristen Larosa won the 3,000-meter run, finishing in 10 minutes, 55.4 seconds, while Hannah Shawver took first in the 55 hurdles (9.4) and Jenny Mara was first in the high jump (5-3).

Bedford also won the 4x160 relay (1:27.5) and was second in the 4x400 relay. Johanna Celli was third in both the 55 and the 300. Rebecca Rooney finished second in the 300 while Kathlyn Rooney came in fifth in the 600 and Brenna Williams finished fifth in the long jump.

Emma Bzik finished tied for fourth in the high jump and Amanda Ouellette was fourth in the shot put.

For the boys, Joseph Thibeault finished first in the shot put (49-13/4) while Sean Brodeur took second and Matt Johnston was third in the same event.

Thibeault also came in second in the 55 and teammate Mackenzie Turgeon was fifth in the same event. Turgeon was also third in the 300 and third in the long jump. Ryan Wittenberg finished third in the 600 while Keelan McCoole was third in the high jump. Bedford won the 4x160 (1:17.3) and was second in the 4x400.

Bedford won its sixth straight, getting pins from Colin Perras, Ben Gilman, Sam Kollmorgan, Ryan Belz, Robert Bernard, Matt Houston and Bobby Heald. Also getting wins were Jake Hall, Josh Belz and Robert Lamy.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Jan. 22: Bedford 58, Nashua South 24

Mackenzie Brown scored 15 points to help the Bulldogs (9-2) win their fifth straight game. Nicole Tucci added 10 points for Bedford while Gabriella Hunter added eight. Bedford outscored South 26-8 in the first half.
