Help us find lower prices
Friday, November 18, 2011
A reader dropped by The Cabinet’s office on School Street in Milford last week to point out a disparity in the price of gasoline. He does a lot of driving for work around the state and noticed gas prices are considerably lower in Merrimack, sometimes by as much as 29 cents a gallon. That, of course, comes to a $2.90 difference if you buy 10 gallons.
He wanted to know if other readers had seen similar differences in prices, and we told him that in Stratham, we recently had seen gas for $3.33 per gallon.
So, readers, what about you? Gas prices in our neck of the woods are about $3.45, which is much better than they were a few years ago, but not as good as we’d like, of course. To the average consumer, everything is always too costly.
But we’re curious: Have you seen lower gas prices in your travels? What were they, and where were they?
