Russ Marcoux will be missed by all

To the Editor:

I want to thank all of the Bedford Town employees who participated in the collection of so many items from our wish list in memory of Russ Marcoux during their holiday celebrations. Russ was our good friend and a member of our board of directors at Camp Allen.

Russ was an amazing man and truly believed in the mission of Camp Allen and the work we do here. He came by often, and not just for board meetings. He did all of the mock interviews with our Life Campers this past year and told the campers and counselors that the experience changed him as a person, as he recommitted to doing all he could to help Camp Allen. He was a regular at Awards Night and Sunday check-ins, and although he was at the check-in to grill hotdogs for families, he would often sneak away to spend time with counselors and the campers. He helped each year with the closing of camp in the fall. He led by example. Russ will be missed by all and Camp Allen is better place because of him.
