Friday, November 5, 2010
The Bedford Boomers will host its 28th annual Model Railroad Exhibition from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 7 at the McKelvie Middle School. The exhibition is the largest noncommercial display of model trains east of the Mississippi River. This year’s show will feature over 40,000 square feet of model railroad equipment, displays and operation systems. Outside the school, there will be a 1½-inch scale train for kids of all ages to ride and a display of prototype track maintenance vehicles. Several clinics will be given for all skill levels. There will also be raffles for several train related items. Refreshments available from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. provided by Beta Sigma Phi on behalf of “The Way Home” organization that benefits the homeless.
There is no admission charge. The Boomers do welcome donations to defray operating expenses.
