KIndergarten and first grade registration day
Thursday, February 2, 2012
BEDFORD – It’s time to register Kindergarten and First Grade students for the 2012-13 school year. Pick-up a registration packet at your home school (Peter Woodbury, Memorial or Riddle Brook) from 7:15 a.m.-3:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 6. Return completed forms, a copy of your child’s birth certificate, two proofs of residency and a current copy of your child’s immunizations to the appropriate elementary school on Wednesday, March 7. A child must be 5 on or before Sept. 30, 2012, to be eligible for kindergarten. A child must be 6 on or before Sept. 30, 2012, to be eligible for first grade.
New Hampshire law requires all new students to present an up-to-date record of immunizations upon admission to school. In addition, record of a physical exam, done no more than one year prior to entrance, is required.
The Bedford School district’s K-Plus Program, a fee-based extension of the kindergarten day, will be offered at all three elementary schools during the 2012-13 school year. Information about this program is available at www.sau25.net.
