Bedford Police Department to launch “Are You Okay?” program Feb. 14
Friday, February 10, 2012
Residents who would like a daily health and wellness check from the Bedford Police Department soon can be comforted by the department’s “Are You Okay?” program, which officially will begin operation Feb. 14.
The Bedford Police Department is now accepting applications for the program, Lt. Michael Bernard said Friday.
Residents interested in being a part of the program should stop by the Bedford Safety Complex at 55 Constitution Drive to pick up an application packet that includes an informational brochure, application and program qualifications.
Once participants fill out the paperwork and return it to the Safety Complex, an officer from the Community Policing Division will be in contact with them.
The Bedford Police Department recognized those who donated money to help implement the program.
“Due to the generous support of the community we are now able to offer this service to all qualified Bedford residents,” Bernard said in a statement.
