Bedford health experts to participate in ‘Food for Thought’
Thursday, February 16, 2012
Two Bedford health experts headline UNH Manchester’s “Food for Thought” Sidore Lecture Series at UNH Manchester from February to April.
The free lecture and film series explores what we eat and its impact on people and the planet. Funding is provided by the Saul O. Sidore Memorial Foundation.
From noon-1 p.m. Feb. 21 in UNH Manchester’s third floor auditorium, Dr. Bert Mathieson, naturopathic physician, registered dietitian and co-owner of NH Natural Health in Bedford will present a discussion called “Demystifying Gluten.”
From 6-8:30 p.m. March 22, Dr. Kristen O’Dell, naturopathic physician and founder of Bedford Natural Medicine, will moderate a film screening called “Forks Over Knives.” The film examines the profound claim that most, if not all, of the degenerative diseases that afflict us can be controlled, or even reversed, by what we eat.
For more details on the rest of the lecture series, visit www.manchester.unh.edu/campuslife/public-programs/food-thought or call 641-4306. Free parking is available after 5:30 p.m. in the Arm’s Lot, behind UNH Manchester.
