BASKETBALL
3rd/4th grade girls rec
TRM Microwave wrapped up the season with a win against ProofreadNOW.com, 15-2. Kallie Polgrean had another outstanding offensive performance, and Catherine Ahnen and Ella Erwin turned in great defensive efforts for TRM. Deborah Ng scored Proofread’s only basket but Katherine Sasso & Skylar Ware supplied tough defense and rebounding.
In another strong effort Groudkeepers Unlimited beat Achieve Global, 17-3. GU was led defensively by Zoe Michaud. Offensively Morgan Rouleau had 7 points and Emily Adams had 6. For Achieve Isabella King and Grace Silha led the charge.
Oztek came away with a win against Anderson Architectural Group, 12-7. Abbey Gilligan led the offense, backed up by aggressive defensive play by Abbie Zendzian and Alexis Dimond for Oztek. Natalie Anderson and Chamberlaine Bell led the offense and Grace Rooney played tough defense for Anderson Architectural Group.
5th/6th grade girls rec
In a back and forth game New Horizons took over to win 22-12 against Bedford Automatic Resource Consultants. Jennifer Appleby lead New Horizons with 6 points with strong defensive play by Kylie Dimond and Tori Pratt. Ruth Driscoll had a season high 6 points for BARC with Erica Gettings contributing 4.
Precision Letter Corporation beat Haigh-Farr by a score of 30-5. Madeline Blake was the game high scorer with 18 points while Madison Sullivan and Hannah Thompson each had 4. Haigh-Farr, Paige Wallat, Olivia Coco, and Maya Ashooh all scored.
In a close back and forth game throughout, Pension Design Services scored two baskets late in the game to take a 16-10 victory over New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Alaina Bibbo scored 8 points with strong defense by Lexi Hawton and Megan Glock. NHMS was lead by Abby Peters with 6 points and Tia Singleton scoring 4.
Good Sports continued their late season run by beating LaBelle Construction Services 12-4. Shanna Scribner and Savannah Nimmo lead the offense with 4 points each with Erin Cassidy and Brooke Burdon playing solid defense. Devon O’Hara and Erin Beaudoin scored for LCS with Corrie Labelle and Amber Guilherme contributing with rebounding and defense.
7th/8th grade girls rec
In the division opener, MDC Recovery Service defeated BJ Laliberte Electric 33-13. MDC saw seven different players score, led by 8 points each from Kat Cusack and Sarah Zadei, followed by Madison Mindes with 6 and Layla Wickwire with 5. BJ’s offense was led by strong performances from guards Meghan Foley and Lauren May dropping in 4 apiece.
In an exciting contest, NH Orthopedic Center defeated Sojurn Partners 32-29. NHOC’s Molly Biedermann had an explosive game dropping in 23 points. Izzy Clark also finished strong with 4 and teammate Lauren Farrell added 3. Sojurn’s Emma Holland led her team with 11 points followed by a strong 10 from Paige Bibbo.
With a last-minute rush, Phi Slamma Jamma defeated Hamilton Software 20-19. Down by 6 late in the game PSJ went on a 6-0 run for the win. They were led by Erica Schimmel with 6, Colleen Keyes with 4 and solid defense from Breanne Sullivan. Hamilton’s Regan Schiappa finished with 8 followed by 5 from teammate Kira Fahmy.
4th grade boys rec
Bedford Journal eked out a 23-16 win against Youth League Management. Bedford Journal was led in scoring by Will Jordan and Nick Landman, with strong defense by Allen Gawlowicz and Jack Wolf. YLM had great hustle by Zachary Garron on defense, with scoring by Andrew Genese and Luke Baretto. Hunter Lortie also chipped in with scoring and tenacious defense.
Replay Sports Photography edged out TRM Micowave 24-18. RSP was led in scoring by Cam Costa, with Jack Sylvain and Peter Dopher chipping in. Eric Abelsayed and Connor Fulton led the defensive charge. Jack Gunning and Brian Barlotta led the scoring for TRM, with defensive contributions from Noel Desmaris and Clarence Heng.
BJ Laliberte Electric outlasted Clifford Sells 14-12 in an exciting game. BJ Lalierte was led in scoring by Brian Faxon, Stoughton Bell and Arthur Standard. Avery Mousseau and Justin Laliberte played strong defense. Clifford Sells, Noah Hughes was their leading scorer and sunk a buzzer beater at the end of the game to bring Clifford Sells within 2 points. Aidan Kenney also contributed in scoring, and Erik Skilton and Anthony Bobo were tough on defense to keep the score close.
5th/6th grade boys rec
In a tight game, Progressive Energy Inc., pulled out a 24-22 win over River Road Pediatrics. Nick Gelinas and Teagan Collins led the River Road attack while Ricky Salvatore had several key rebounds and played well on defense. A buzzer beater put back lay up by Alexzander Ciccetto sealed the deal for Progressive.
The Celtics held off a late comeback to defeat Accurate Brazing 24-20. Celtics offense was sparked by Owen Brown (leading scorer with 10 points) and Jack St. Hilaire. Kamy Nikseresht controlled the boards on both ends of the floor. Accurate Brazing’s offense was keyed by Jake Boyarsky and Bryan Mikell while Chris Francis made some key rebounds.
In an overtime thriller, Hearthside Realty beat lauriegouldhomes.com, 27-24. Tyler Stone’s 3pointer and Ben Lacombe’s free throw shooting helped Hearthside take the lead. Tom Parker had a standout performance at both ends of the court. Tyler Bourgeois had a game high 11 points and a key 3-point shot for lgh to send the game to OT. Ryan Douthart supplied key baskets while Josh Gould had some big rebounds.
Surgical Care Group outlasted Autism Bridges, 30-20. SGC received a strong team effort and standout performances from Harrison Mahan and Ben Gilson. Devin Lafrance showed outstanding defense. Autism Bridges had great scoring & hustle performances from Matt Lefebvre and Nick Courtney while Tim Hoke owned the boards.
Bedford Friends of Recreation defeated Rescon Basement Solutions, 33-23. BFOR received great shooting by Michael Mullen and Connor Zendzian while Taylor Spencer played strong defense. Rescon was led by Matt Gilligan, Sam Winslow and Jacob Coutu.
BounceU finished the season with a 36-16 victory over Carrabba’s Italian Grill. Nick Leahy had a dominating performance with a game high 25 points. Spencer Adams and Anthony Rainey made significant contributions on both ends of the court. Carrabbas made a 2nd-half push behind strong play from Donny Crowder, Nathan Kanter and Quinn Hamlin.
Greater Manchester Sports Newspaper won 30-29 against Active Body Studios in a game that came down to the final seconds. For Greater Manchester Brendan Dillon had a great game defensively and Sam Lademan had 4 points and played great on the boards. Kyle Jordan, Chris Roy and Max Chartier all supplied big offense for ABS.
7th/8th grade boys rec
Bellwether Credit Union notched their first win of the season with a hard fought win over Rock 101 29-28. Leading Bellwether was Suntosh Patil who had 12 points, followed by Ty Benson with 11. Sean Dobens and Pervesh Jaswal also had key baskets. Rock 101 received some balanced scoring from Kyle Andersson, Timmy Boyle, Zach Graham, and Tyler O’ Brien.
NAMTEK Corp played well beating New Hampshire Orthopedic Center 36-21. NAMTEK got 12 points from Bryan Howell, 9 from Elias Ashooh, and 7 from Mike Kitsis. Adam Landon added 6. NH Orthopedic was led by Matt Popham who dropped in 8 points, followed by Nick Burdick who had 5, and Chase Hughes 4. Christian Reed played strong defensively for NHOC.
Bedford Friends of Recreation bested Hot Rize Bagel Cafe 48-30. Double digit scorers for BFOR were Matt Grassett, Bobby Heald, and Matt Tierney. James McGuire also had 4 key points. Mike Landman scored 8 points for Hot Rize and was followed by Alex Heng and Sam Stanton.
In spite of Brett Veilleux’s heroics, with 14 points and superb defense, Capital Kitchen & Bath fell to Nixon Peabody LLP, 30-29.
Nixon Peabody had balanced scoring by Max Sullivan with 10, Scott Daly and David Norfleet with 6 and Chris Grande with 5. For Capital, Zach Anderson played tough under the boards and Josh Hughes made a spectacular shot while getting fouled.
Connected Custom Home Theater & AV defeated BJ Laliberte Electric in a thrilling OT game. CCHT was led by Matt Martin with 15 points and Sean Gilmartin with 11. Tyler Harjula hit a critical bucket in overtime. B J Laliberte had solid performances from Jeffrey Graves with 18 points. Elias Papakostas, Jacob Gordon and Patrick Murray all played well for B J.
Domesticity beat Milford Medical Center, 32 -23, riding Mac Turgeon’s strong work under the boards and his game-high 12 points. Tanner Soterion and Jeff Lynn added rebounds, blocked shots, and a pair of buckets each. Ryan Lang, Griffin Lyons, and Clay Norris all put up treys, while Justin Mello, Connor Lee and Scott Druker rounded out the scoring for MMC.
