WRESTLING
Jan. 4: Bedford 47, Goffstown 12
The Bulldogs won their fifth dual match of the season, knocking off their Division II rival.
Robert Lamy (220-pounds) recorded a pin for the Bulldogs and Chris Conery (138) won by technical fall while Ryan Belz (170) pulled out a 7-6 win in his match.
Also getting wins for Bedford were Colin Perras (113), Eric Cooper (145), Sam Kollmorgen (152), Robert Bernard (160), Michael Galinat (182), Erik Flakengren (195) and Matt Houston (285).
Jan. 7: Bedford wins two of three
The Bulldogs traveled to Reading, Mass., to compete in a quad dual meet. Bedford defeated Windham (46-26) and Reading (48-25), but dropped its first dual meet of the season to Nashua North (40-39).
Josh Belz, Eric Cooper, Michael Galinat and Erik Falkengren each went 3-0 on the day for the Bulldogs.
GIRLS TRACK
Jan. 7: Bedford takes top spot
The Bulldogs recorded 99 points to finish first at a meet at the University of New Hampshire. Coe-Brown came in second with 561/2 points and Merrimack Valley was third with 56 points.
Jenny Mara came in first in the high jump (5-3) and was second in the 55-meter dash, while Brenna Williams won the long jump (16-53/4) came in second in the 600.
Johanna Celli finished first in the 300 (43.4) and came in third in the 55.
Hannah Zeltner also won the 3,000 (10:25.2) and Bedford won the 4x160 relay (1:30) and the 4x400 relay (4:24).
Samantha Dee took third in the 55 hurdles and also placed fifth in the long jump. Morghan Linehan came in second in the 1,000 while teammates Rachel Lowney was fourth and Amelia Soule was fifth in the same event.
Lisa Kash (fourth) and Miranda Adams (sixth) both placed in the 600, while Erica Stieper came in third in the high jump. Chelsea Weber and Anika Hibdard also tied for fourth in the high jump.
Hannah Shawver came in fourth in the 55 hurdles while Kristen Larosa took fourth in the 1,500. Amanda Ouellette was also fourth in the shot put while Kathlyn Rooney came in sixth in the 300.
BOYS TRACK
Jan. 7: Bulldogs a close second
Bedford competed at a meet at UNH, recording 71 points to finish second behind first-place Merrimack Valley (72). Coe-Brown was third with 32 points.
Dylan York came in first in the 55 (6.6) while teammate Joseph Thibeault was second and Mackenzie Turgeon was fifth in the same event. York also won the 300 (38.3) and the long jump (18-71/4), while Thibeault was also second in the shot put.
Bedford took first in the 4x160 relay (1:18.9) and came in third in the 4x400 (3:59). Ryan Wittenburg finished second in the 600 and Keelan McCoole took second in the high jump.
Ryan Gancarz finished third in the 55 hurdles and Rob Flynn came in fourth in the 3,000. Timothy Miller tied for fourth in the high jump while Taylor Wallace took fifth in the 300.
HOCKEY
Jan. 10: Kennett 5, Bedford 3
The Bulldogs got out to a 2-0 lead in the first period, but couldn’t hang on in a non-division game against the Eagles. Jason Campbell and Michael Ahern each had a goal for Bedford.
