Travel teams

The Bedford third-grade girls beat St. Catherine’s 23-21 in double overtime. Carly Rinko and Katey OConnell each had key baskets in overtime while Isabella King scored 19 points. Dana Kiefer, Emma LeGoullon and Paige Adams led the team in rebounding while Paige Muir, Emily Plage and Nitya Upadrastra keyed the defense.

The Bedford fourth-grade girls split a pair of games. The girls held on in a tough defensive battle to beat Hollis 12-11. Amanda Jonas led the scoring with seven points while Alli Morgan and Torrance Ayotte each added a basket. Then the girls couldn’t hold on to a late lead falling to Chester 16-14. Amanda Jonas and Mackenzie MacEachern each had four points while Torrance Ayotte led the team with six. Ella Natale did a great job on the boards while Abigail Mangiafico and Katherine Lipari played great defense for Bedford.

The Bedford fifth-grade girls cruised by Derry 38-21 behind 14 points from Lizzy Stevenson, 10 points from Caroline DeLisle and four points each from Sophia King, Brianna Coco, Caroline Robinson and Delaney Flanagan. They also defeated St. Catherine’s 30-22 and were led in scoring by Sarah Cote, Morgan Rouleau and Kendi Barnard while Emily Adams led the defense.

The Bedford sixth-grade girls jumped out to a 20-1 lead on their way to a 36-29 victory over St. Thomas. Bedford was led by nine points from Mia Roy, seven points from Aly Fillion and six from Clare Driscoll. Quinn Allen led the defense with several blocks backed by steals from Karina Schappler and Sadie MacIver.

The Bedford fifth-grade boys won the Southern Maine Martin Luther King Tournament in Saco, Maine. Bedford beat Gorham and Falmouth to make it to the championship. In the championship game Liam O’Connell scored 13 points and Cole Wheeler 12 to beat Portland. They returned to league play with a hard fought 54-50 win over Brookline. O’Connell led the scoring with 21 points, while Cole Wheeler, Noah Kokkinos and Harrsion LeGoullon played tough defense and battled for the rebounds.

Boys third-grade

CGI Benefits defeated Clifford Sells 22-0 behind the scoring of Teagan Graham, Raymond Viega, Jack Buffett and Kaden Razvi.

Bedford Friends of recreation came from behind to defeat Autofair Honda 9-7. Matt Lucia sizzled with several key steals in the victory. Drew Doughty and Elijah Raby played outstanding defense and Scott Anderson and Jason Merk lead Autofair in rebounding.

Flooring Associates beat a tough Lui Lui squad 12-6 behind Conor Mullin, Danny Kulesza and Nick Allen. TJ O’Connell and Aiden Landman scored for Team Lui Lui.

Team Verizon Wireless defeated Team NAMTEK Corp 17-12 behind Matt Flanagan and Sam Lacombe. Owen Bechert, Caleb Bulard, Toren Coulter, Zach Gamache, Robert Monaco and Dennis Saraglic played great defense for Verizon Wireless.

Boys fourth-grade

Crawford-Vogel Wenzel Oil defeated Valid Media Group 14-12 behind strong rebounding from William O’Brian and tenacious defense of Mateo Hoffman. Offense for Crawford-Vogel was led by Jason Butts, Vincent Capodilupo, Derek Moscillo and David Manella.

Elliot Orthodontics overcame a tough Fidelity Investments team 13-10 behind super defense by Jack Holland and a key free throw by Patrick Goterch. Team Fidelity displayed great passing by Sean Cameron and strong defense led by Joey Lupo, Andrew Cooper and Ashwin Prasad.

Boys seventh- and eighth-grade

Progressive Energy and NH Orthopaedic Center played a tough game with the final being 32-28. Progressive was led by Connor Kelly, Cory Goodman and Sam Winslow. NH Orthopaedic received scoring from Austin Singleton, Tom Parker and Nate Moody.

Bedford Biomass Products was victorious over the Law Offices of Gould and Gould, 44-30. Chase Hughes led the offense with help from Jarrett Pellerin and Dan Johnson. Gould and Gould was powered by the play of Ryan Porter, Clay Norris and Tony Rainey.

Connected Home Theater and Milford Medical Center played to tie 36-36. CHT received contributions from Nate Cote, Mitchell Roy and Evan Andrews. Milford was led by the play of Michael Landman and Drew Smith.

River Road Pediatrics bested the Celtics 52-22. Leading River Road was Evan Natale, David Norfleet, and Charlie Woo. The Celtics were led by Nick Courtney and Ethan John.

Arbors of Bedford knocked off Executive Lawn Care 32-29. Leading Arbors was PJ Garron, Nick Leahy and AJ Fox. Executive received solid play from Alex Stroebel, Alex Schwartz and Anthony Mannella.

Capital Kitchen and Bath powered past Dunkin Donuts, 33-27. Capital received solid play from Paul Toscano, Mir Sultan, and Cam Madej. Dunkin Donuts was led by Tyler Allen, Cory Wallace, and Zach Williams.

Girls third- and fourth-grade

Bedford Hills Care & Rehab battled Oztek to an 8-8 tie. Clutch foul shots by Oztek’s Carolyn Tierney and Chamberlaine Bell tied the game during the final minute. Meghan Thornton also had a standout game for Oztek, contributing on both ends of the court. Bedford Hills had excellent effort set forth by Micaley Pendleton and Angelika Bouley.

TRM Microwave beat The Inside Scoop 22-13. Offensively, Torrance Ayotte who had 12 points led TRM Micowave. Isabelle Wiggins, Lexi Belanger, and Emma Rosenbaum also

played key offensive roles while defensively. TRM got great results from Ella Gordon and Lavinia Nash.

Strong defense led the way for a Crazy Monkey victory over NH Orthapedic 17-2. Lauren Lupo lead the way on both ends of the court while Mary Elizabeth Provost was

stellar on defense for the Monkeys.

Girls fifth- and sixth-grade

Active Body Studio receives great team play in a close win over Bedford Self-Storage 13-11. Molly Kraus, Mary McGuire and Jennika Mullen each contributed four points for the victors. Aubrey Clark kept the game close for Bedford Self-Storage with four points.

Tia Singleton and Cate Withee led YLM to a 22-12 victory over Groundskeepers Unlimited. Cate had six points while Tia led the team with eight points. Erin Beaudoin added four points. Brook Burdon played well for Groundskeepers with four points. Lauren LaBonte also chipped in with four.

Precision Letter Corp pulled out a close one with a 10-8 victory over NH MotorSpeedway. Lily Bromley led the team with six points and Megan Souter had four. Stephanie and Anna Ropes kept things close for NH Motor Speedway with four and two points respectively. Shannon Bolser chipped in with two.

Girls seventh- and eighth-grade

Sojourn Partners defeated Phi Slamma Jamma 31-6. Morgan Jonas led Sojourn’s attack with nine points and Madisyn Simpson added eight. Phi Slamma Jamma battled bravely to the end lead by Kendall Karolian and Annie Sasso.

Arbors of Bedford made a nice second half comeback to defeat Pension Design Services 15-14. Abby Peters got the comeback going with a breakaway basket and free throw. Bridget Widrig lead the way with six points followed by Abby Edwards with four. Olivia Ouellet led Pension with six points. Sarah Cole and Rachel Larrivee lead Pension’s defense.
