Hampshire Hills offering advertising opportunity
MILFORD – Hampshire Hills Sports and Fitness Club is offering businesses a chance to advertise on banners in its Hampshire Dome.
Banners, said the club, can be 4 feet wide and up to 8 feet long.
According to information sent to potential advertisers, more than 1,500 people pass through the Hampshire Dome on a weekday and as many as 4,000 on a weekend.

CoWorx Staffing Services plans job fair in Wilton
WILTON – CoWorx Staffing Services will hold a job fair at Wilton Town Hall from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6. In partnership with NHBB, it is seeking applications for entry-level positions, including machine operators on second and third shift (first shift available with experience) and inspectors on second shift.
These are temp-to-hire positions. Starting pay is more than $11 an hour. Experienced candidates start at a higher rate.
If hired after three months, full company benefits and training.

Blues artist performs at sports club on New Year’s
MILFORD – The James Montgomery Band performed on New Year’s Eve to a standing-room-only audience at Hampshire Hills Sports and Fitness Club, the club said in a press release this week.
The club said Montgomery gave a “memorable New Year’s Eve show” with a blend of standards and new songs he introduced there that night.
Indoor farmers market to debut at Town Hall
MILFORD – The first indoor farmers market of the season will take place from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Jan. 7, in the Town Hall Auditorium.
There will be locally grown meats, including elk, turkey, beef, pork and chicken, as well as fresh eggs, milk, winter vegetables, canned preserves, baked goods and handcrafted items. Farmers and vendors interested in participating are asked to contact coordinator Karina Bertrand at 673-9489, karina@artstorymusic.com.
The Milford Town Hall Auditorium is located on the third floor of the Milford Town Hall. The auditorium is handicapped-accessible through an elevator on Middle Street.
The Milford Winter Farmer’s Market is co-sponsored by the Milford Downtown Ongoing Improvement Team, in partnership with the town of Milford.
Future market dates are Jan. 21, Feb. 18, March 3 and 17, April 14 and 21, and May 5 and 19.
