Business in Russia
CONCORD – The New Hampshire International Trade Resource Center will host a seminar, “Doing Business in Russia” On Tuesday, Jan. 24, from 9 a.m.-noon at 172 Pembroke Drive. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.
Participants will learn the ins and outs of Russian business practices. They will be provided with an overview of Russia, its business culture, why NH companies should do business with Russia and the available resources to assist them.
Other topics to be covered include common difficulties and how to avoid them, Russian customs procedures and how to expedite product delivery.
Cost for the seminar is $40.

Petrin is a financial advisor with Edward Jones with more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry.
She is co-founder of therainbownetwork.com, a business network group supporting the GLBT community.

MILFORD – The Boys & Girls Club of Souhegan Valley will host the Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Business After Hours program on Thursday, Feb. 2, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

AMHERST – Antiques at Mayfair in Salzburg Square will host a Chowderfest on Saturday, Jan. 21, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Ideas to reality
MANCHESTER – Joe Schappler, founder and president of Helix Design, Inc., will lead a workshop about how to turn ideas into reality at abi Innovation Hub. This workshop, from 8-9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8, will explain how to overcome the challenges in design, forecast the product to define unmet user needs, and help to discover the best production and manufacturing options for the product.
The workshop is free and open to the public. Light breakfast will be provided, but attendees are asked to register with Heather Wilson at heather@abihub.org or call 629-9511.
The abi Innovation Hub is located at 33 S. Commercial St. in Manchester.
Tree of Life
The Tree of Life School for Sacred Living has opened an online store at www.tolinterfaithtemple.org/SeminaryStore.html
On sale are book, most of which are used in conjunction with The Tree of Life’s Interfaith Seminary course. Also included for sale is the Rev. Stepanie Rutt’s latest publication, “The Interfaith Worship Manual.”
More titles are expected to be added to the store soon. Rutt’s “Living the Prayer of Jesus: A Study of The Lord’s Prayer in Aramaic,” will be available for order on Jan. 20.
And, coming April 25, her book, “Mantra Prayer,” will be available.
