AMHERST – Frederick’s Pastries has been selected by the board of directors of American Culinary Federation Professional Chefs of New Hampshire with two prestigious awards “Business of the Year 2013” and “Pastry Chef of the Year 2013.” The winners were celebrated at the ACF’s Annual Epicurean Feast held at the Crowne Plaza Nashua.
Susan Lozier Robert, proprietor of Frederick’s Pastries, was awarded “Business of the Year 2013” for her commitment to the American Culinary Federation, her dedication to her business and her involvement in the communities she serves.
“I love what American Culinary Federation does for culinary students as well as for chefs,” Robert said. “I am honored to receive this award and to be part of this federation.”
Robin Feustel, lead baker of Frederick’s Pastries, was awarded “Pastry Chef of the Year 2013.” The ACF Pastry Chef of the Year Award recognizes a pastry chef who has displayed a passion for the craft, has an accomplished reputation in the pastry field and has helped educate others by sharing skills and knowledge.
“It was truly a surprise to be awarded this year and certainly an honor,” Feustel said. “It is a great pleasure to be part of this fantastic federation.”
The annual Epicurean Evening is the ACF’s largest fundraising event, providing scholarships for culinary students as well as education reimbursements for chefs.
