Heartened by community response to truck mishap
Wednesday, March 10, 2010
To the Editor:
A big thank you to the Lyndeborough Fire Department, the Police Department and Fire Department Auxiliary, along with the fine folks at Citizens Hall for coming to our rescue last Thursday when a propane tanker was felled by the weather conditions on Tarn Road.
Many thanks also to the dispatchers and the other towns’ fire and rescue squads who assisted. It was a major undertaking that had folks here on site for over 20 hours, and backup for them where needed.
I’m especially glad that the driver who drew the short straw that day is all right.
MARGE HALLYBURTON
Lyndeborough
