DAR thanks restaurant for support selling mugs
Thursday, January 3, 2013
To the Editor:
The Captain Josiah Crosby Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution winds down their latest project, coffee mugs featuring a Milford gazebo design, by local artist Marianne Stillwagon. We want to thank Raymond Paul, owner of The Rustic Leaf Bistro for his support towards this local fundraiser, with the purchase of the mugs to be used in his restaurant. Paul was delighted to help with this project and said, “We feel it is very important to support the local community of Milford and those communities around us. That is why we strive to purchase as many products as feasibly possible from local farms and businesses.”
Nancy Spears, Good Citizen Program chair stated, “This project was established exclusively for the Good Citizen Program, which sponsors four deserving high school seniors from Milford High, Wilton-Lyndeborough-Coop., High Mowing and Souhegan High. It is with the support of local businesses and individuals that we are able to continue this outstanding program. We are very grateful to the community for its support.”
At this time there is a limited supply of these mugs available at Windows on West Street at the Milford High School.
Once again, thank you to The Rustic Leaf Bistro for their generous support. As a unique and wonderful restaurant they are an asset to the community
