Nixle offers Milford Fire Department notices

MILFORD — Residents can now register for public service notices from the Milford Fire Department by signing up with a free community information service called Nixle.

Notices will be sent out through e-mail and cellphone. Go to www.nixle.com for more information and to register.

Fire Lt. Dennis Shepard said the service is only available through the fire department but plans call for it to be extended to other emergency services.
