Elizabeth “Bette” Keenan Robitaille, 72, of Milford, NH, died peacefully early Tuesday morning, February 11, 2014. Born in Manchester, NH on the Fourth of July, 1941, she graduated from Central High School Class of ’59. Bette also attended Hesser College in Manchester, NH, during the early 1960s, earning a degree in business administration.

Born and raised Elizabeth Jane Keenan in Manchester, NH until she was in her mid- to late-20s, when she moved across the country to Southern California with her husband Roger and son David for approximately five to six years. There Bette became a cosmetologist, owning her own beauty salon along with being a loving wife and mother.

Upon moving back to the “Right” coast, in 1974-75, her mid-30s and settled down in Milford, NH, and had her second son Roger Jr. This was when Bette “Mom Robes” really hit her stride and was at her best. By the early to mid-’80s, a mother of two boys, nine years apart, she was hard working as an entrepreneur, publisher, Nana’s Country Kitchen restaurant owner, bartender, hostess, cleaning business and other miscellaneous jobs. Mom Robes did whatever it took to make sure her boys had what they needed when they needed it the most.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, David and Roger Robitaille; her two grandchildren, Colin and Nicole Robitaille; and husband Doug Wenting.

Two of Elizabeth’s charities that she was very passionate about were:

1.) www.aspca.org (ASPCA is a humane group focused on preventing cruelty to animals in the United States).

2.) www.bridgesnh.org (Bridges is supported by the United Way and is a member of the New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence).
