Karalee E. Stoneburner

BURKE, Va. – Karalee Joyce Eastman Stoneburner, of Burke, Va., 67, wife of Paul David Stoneburner, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, under hospice care at the Manorcare Fair Oaks facility in Fairfax County.

Mrs. Stoneburner was born March 18, 1942, in Montague, Mass., eldest daughter of the late Hubert Jessie and Genevieve Alexander Eastman.

She was an elementary school teacher in Enfield, Conn., and later in Fairfax County, Va.

She had also run her own day care and worked at Children’s World. She was a member of Columbia Baptist Church in Falls Church and attended Community Praise Church in Alexandria, Va.

She is survived by her husband, Paul; three children, Walter L. Stoneburner and wife, Tamara, of Ashburn, Coralyn S. Gauvin and husband, Jeff, of Manitou Springs, Colo. and Connie S. Brakefield and husband, Rob of Martinsburg, W. Va; two sisters, Marcia Congdon, of Milford and Tucson, Ariz., and Mary Sanchez, of Milford; four grandchildren, Madison and Erich Brakefield, and Bennett and Brenner Gauvin, and a number of nieces and nephews. Also, her faithful companion of the past few months, Harry.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Union Forge Church west of Edinburg, Pastor Glenn Palmer officiating.

Interment was in the family lot at the church. Friends were invited to call for an hour before the service at the church. The body is at Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock, Va.
