BOWIE, MARYLAND – Mary A. Littlefield, 86, resident of Bowie, Maryland died January 6, 2010.

She was born in Milford, NH on December 30, 1923, a daughter of the late Antonio and Virginia (Patti) Prestipino. She made her home in Milford for more than 55 years and following her retirement in 1979, she moved to Maryland.

Mrs. Littlefield had been employed as an administrator in the Engineering Department at Hitchiner Manufacturing Company, Milford, for more 20 years.

She was a loving mother, devoted grandmother and great grandmother.

Mrs. Littlefield was predeceased by her husband, Roy E. Littlefield, Jr., who died in 1974; a brother, Vincent Prestipino; two sisters, Rosie Hawkins and Livia Prestipino.

Family members include her son, Roy E. Littlefield III and his wife, Amy of Bowie, MD; three grandchildren, Leah Webster and her husband, Brad, Roy E. Littlefield IV and Christy Littlefield; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Bartolo Prestipino and his wife, Lorraine of Milford, NH, Charles Prestipino of SC; many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are Friday, January 8th from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 34 Amherst Street, Milford, NH. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford, NH.
