Lillian Wilkins Amundsen

CONCORD – Lillian Wilkins Amundsen, 95, formerly of Medford and Burlington, Mass., and East Wakefield, N.H., died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, at Havenwood Heritage Heights.
Born in Amherst, she was the daughter of Harold and Violet (Bates) Wilkins.
She was class salutatorian at Milford High School, class of 1932. She went on to graduate from Radcliffe College in 1936.
Lillian worked as a church treasurer at the Union Congregational Church in Medford, Mass., as a bookkeeper for the Museum of Science in Boston, and as a bookkeeper for other local businesses.
She was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Wakefield, U.C.C. in Wakefield.
Most of all, she was a loving wife and mother.
Survivors include her two sons, David Amundsen of Londonderry and Paul Amundsen of Exeter; one daughter, Beverly McCoy of Chelmsford, Mass.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred W. Amundsen, in 2008; by two brothers, Harold Wilkins and Vernon Wilkins; and by one sister, Violet Buttrick Long.
Graveside services will be held at Effingham Falls Cemetery in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Havenwood Heritage Heights Endowment Fund, 33 Christian Ave. Concord, NH 03301.
The Bennett Funeral Home of Concord is in charge of the arrangements.
