Lorraine F. Huffman, 87, of Wilton, NH, died February 13, 2010, at the Elms Nursing Home, Milford, NH, after a period of failing health.
Born in Wasta, South Dakota on November 2, 1922, she was the daughter of George and Ida (Osborn) Bennett.
She lived in Reidsville, GA, Littleton, MA and Wilton. Most recently, she resided in Manchester, NH.
Until her retirement, she was a cook at the Elms Nursing Home.
Mrs. Huffman will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid walker.
She was married twenty-two years to Clark E. Huffman who died in 1965. She was also predeceased by her stepson, Robert Huffman.
Family members include her son, David Huffman of Merrimack, NH; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Bill (Jean) Oliver of Collins, Georgia, and Nancy Huffman of New Loudon, Iowa; five grandchildren; her sister, Genevieve Bancroft of South Dakota; several nieces and nephews.
Services: Following cremation, funeral services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
The Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, Manchester, NH, is in charge of the arrangements.
