Ralph H. Taylor Sr., 75, lifelong resident of Milford, NH, died February 22, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Nashua, NH, after a brief illness.
He was born in Milford on November 24, 1934, a son of the late C. Arthur and Mabel (Todd) Taylor.
Mr. Taylor had been employed as a mechanic for Sheldon Automotive in Milford for many years. In addition, he was a custodian at the Milford United Methodist Church and Clark Elementary School, Amherst.
He was a member of the Granite Grange #7, Milford, for more than 50 years and an avid lover of classic cars.
Mr. Taylor was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during the Korean Conflict.
He was a loving father, a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather.
Family members include six sons, Keith Taylor of Greenville, NH, Kevin Taylor, John Taylor and Paul J. Taylor, all of Milford, Daryn Taylor of Jaffrey, NH and Ralph H. Taylor Jr. of Concord, NH; two daughters, Torey Cox of Wilton, NH and Carole Dishong of New Ipswich, NH; 12 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours are Thursday evening, February 25th from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford. Funeral services are private. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford. Donations in his memory may be made to the Milford Historical Society, P.O. Box 609, Milford, NH 03055.
