Doris G. Boutwell, 84 of Wilton, NH died March 10, 2010 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH. She was born on January 2, 1926 she was the daughter of Stephen and Grace (Fish) Boutwell.

Doris was a life long resident of Wilton, NH. After high school she worked for Wilton National Bank as a teller and later for Indian Head Bank and Fleet Bank. Doris eventually worked her way up to Assistant Vice President. Retiring after spending 45 years in the banking profession.

Doris had a great interest in community affairs which she demonstrated throughout the years. She was instrumental in starting the Wilton Community and Christmas Store and has consistently worked on this charity until her passing. In addition She was a member of the Wilton Ambulance Committee and also served as an Auditor for the Wilton School District. She also enjoyed cooking, crocheting and reading. Doris was a loving mother and grandmother.

Doris is survived by 1 son; Carl Boutwell of Wilton, NH and 1 daughter; Carlene Brown of Wilton, NH. 2 brothers Elmer Boutwell of Wilton, NH and Francis Boutwell of Lyndeborough, NH.

Doris was blessed with 4 grandchildren; Heather Brown of Wachung, NJ, Joshua Brown of Boston, MA , Stephan Boutwell of Keene, NH, and Shawn Boutwell of Temple, NH. 1 Great Grandchild; Jacob Boutwell. In addition she leaves many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Family and Friends are invited to a memorial service on Monday, March 15, 2010, at 11:00 am for a Celebration of Doris’s life in the Chapel of the Nelson-Michaud Funeral Home, 32 Maple Street, Wilton, NH. All are Welcome immediate following the service to stay for a luncheon and continuation of the celebration of her life. Private Interment will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Wilton, NH at a later date.
