Thursday, July 1, 2010
Abigail Heidi Yandell, 18 years old, of Brookline, NH, unexpectedly left us in a tragic car accident on June 27th, 2010. Abby spent her entire life as a New Hampshire resident and started her early education at the Pine Hill Waldorf School in Wilton, New Hampshire, culminating with her recent graduation from High Mowing School, also in Wilton. Abby was eager to begin studying Holistic Psychology at Lesley College in Cambridge. In addition to spending time with her friends and family, Abby could be found working at Brookdale Fruit Farm. She was a talented artist, a fierce athlete, and a caring and devoted friend to all of those who knew her.
Abby will be sorrowfully missed and lovingly remembered by her family, including her parents, Tony and Jenifer (Rand) Yandell of Brookline; her sister, Melissa and brother, Ben of Brookline; grandparents, Ria Fort of Hollis, Renate and Melvin Doray of Princeton, Massachusetts, Philip and Luretta Rand of Umatilla, Oregon; Uncle David Yandell and Aunt Casey Carmichael of Wilton, Aunt Charlene Yandell of Atlanta, Georgia; cousins and multitude of friends.
There will be a celebratory memorial held at High Mowing School on Saturday, July 3rd from 3:00-5:00 pm and a reception afterward, all are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted to the Abigail Yandell Scholarship Fund at High Mowing School, 222 Isaac Frye Highway, Wilton, NH 03086.
