Milford High announces Students of the Month

Milford High School has announced its Students of the Month for September, October and November.

Travis Hollins, son of Melinda Long, has been selected as the Student of the Month for September. His teachers nominated him as an ideal candidate for recognition.

Travis is described as a polite young man, who is always willing to help the MHS community. He is respectful and kind, and receives high grades in his classes.

Travis is an accomplished racecar driver, traveling to race around the country. He donates a portion of his winnings to various charities and models being a “community contributor.”

Travis’ teachers appreciate that he is a positive, caring person, as well as a conscientious student.

Travis was selected from more than 1,000 students to be named a student of the month.

Emily Hutchins, daughter of Barry and Wendy Hutchins, of Mason, has been selected as the Student of the Month for October.

Her teachers nominated her as an ideal candidate for recognition.

Emily is described as a polite and enthusiastic student who is always willing to help the MHS community. She is respectful and kind, and receives high grades in her classes.

Emily is energetic, dynamic and committed to both her studies and her role in the Student Council.

Rarely without a smile, Emily is a positive person who can be counted on to “roll up her sleeves” and get work done.

Emily was selected from more than 1,000 students to be named a student of the month.

Rachel Quirbach, daughter of Robert and Diane Quirbach, has been selected as the Student of the Month for November.

Her teachers nominated her as an ideal candidate for recognition.

Rachel is described as a talented and enthusiastic student, who is always willing to help the MHS community. She is respectful and curious, and receives top grades in her classes.

Rachel is the band drum major, a senior member of West Street Beat and president of Tri-M. She is also an accomplished accordion champion and recently was the top ranked U.S. finisher in the World Accordion Competition. She is an excellent role model for all students.

Rachel was selected from more than 1,000 students to be named a student of the month.

MHS thanks each Student of the Month for their contribution to the school program at Milford and wishes them the best for future success.
