Frederick’s Pastries donates $468 to The One Fund

Thursday, June 12, 2014

AMHERST – Frederick’s Pastries donated $468 to support the one-year anniversary of The One Fund, which was set up by Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Tom Menino to help those most affected in the Boston Marathon bombings in 2013.

For three weeks in April, all three Frederick’s Pastries locations donated a portion of the proceeds of their specialty flavored Boston Cream Pie jumbo cupcakes to The One Fund.

“We are proud to be able to donate directly to The One Fund and help those who were tragically hurt during the Boston Marathon last year,” said Susan Lozier Robert, proprietor of Frederick’s Pastries. “We are deeply grateful to our customers who supported our efforts by purchasing The One Fund Cupcake from which these proceeds originated.

“This year’s marathon Monday was a special day, and we were humbled to see the resilient city of Boston come together on that day.”
