MANCHESTER – On May 29, BusinessNH Magazine presented Granite Clover Self Storage with a Business of the Year award in the Business Services category.

Edward Smith, Granite Clover owner and president, attended the annual Business of the Year ceremony at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester to accept the award. Celebrating 15 years, Granite Clover Self Storage started in 1999 and is a self-storage company located in Amherst, Nashua, Pembroke and Derry.

Since 2006, Granite Clover Self Storage has raised more than $400,000 through its charitable organization, Community Business Members Cares, and has supported several nonprofit organizations in the community. The company has assisted Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Nashua and Greater Salem by providing packing supplies and storage units for community events, as well as Marguerite’s Place of Nashua, a nonprofit organization that helps homeless women and children find housing.

The company has recently expanded, opening a new storage facility at 125 Windham Road, Derry. The new facility is currently undergoing renovations and security upgrades to provide a secure storage option in the Derry-Windham area of Southern New Hampshire.

Smith also heads College Bound Movers, of Amherst, along with MI-BOX New England, a mobile storage company and My Daddy’s Boxes, a packing supplies company. In 2005, College Bound Movers received Business of the Year in the same category.
