Little Clara always knew she wanted a different kind of life; a life without limitations, a life of adventure, a life like the performers at Coney Island’s famous freak show. Phantasmagoria – or – Voices from the Ether (musical): Aug. 8-16. Written and directed by DJ Potter and composed by DJ Potter and Patrick Boutwell.

In the mid-19th century the Fox sisters became famous for communicating with spirits. What started as a parlor trick, became a national phenomenon with girls all over the U.S. discovering they too had the gift to speak to the dead. Were they telling the truth or acting out for attention? Either way, girls across the country had finally found their voice and were going to continue to use it by any means necessary.
